The Oakes Police Department with assistance from the Dickey County Sheriffs Office made two drug related arrests earlier this morning and dealt with multiple incidents involving individuals under the influence of narcotics.  

We would like to inform the public of increased drug activity, thefts, and domestics over the past few weeks.  Officers are aware of suspicious people around the Oakes area and will continue to patrol to combat the criminal activity.  We have many active cases which have taken up alot of man hours but the department is still working hard to make sure hours throughout the day are being patrolled.
