Join us this week as we celebrate the service of our SCSO communications officers. Our professional communications team dispatches for Fire, Law, EMS, in the county, and assists the Town of Pinedale, and Wyoming Highway Patrol when needed. We try and have at least two dispatchers on duty at any given time; however, there are occasions when there is only one dispatcher for the entire county.

 

All of our dispatchers are certified in EMD and EFD, which stands for Emergency Medical Dispatch and Emergency Fire Dispatch respectively. Part of being certified also means that all incoming 911 calls are queued for quality assurance.

 

Last year in 2022, we added the Tree of Life to our communications center. This tree recognizes newly retired Communications Officers as well as those who are credited with saving a life in Sublette County.
