Social Media Day 2022

June 30th, 2022 8:48 am

Today is National Social Media Day! Social Media has been around for a while now and is widely used by the majority of people every day to connect with long-distance family and friends and even to receive news. While the past few years have shown there are negatives to social media, we always try to look to the positive uses of social media at the SCSO. Being in a rural area with limited outlets, social media has become one of the main avenues to reach our citizens with important information, alerts and to connect to citizens.

Thanks to continued growing support from our citizens and followers we have 10,455 followers on Facebook, 1,470 Instagram followers, 63 Followers on Twitter, 72 Citizens following on Next door, and over 2,000 downloads of our SCSO Smartphone APP!

Tell us what is your favorite part of our social media presence and which platform you follow us the most on?
