Highway Road Rage Incident Ends in Sherwood, North Little Rock Man Charged

SHERWOOD, Ark. (Sept. 3, 2020) —      

On Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, at approximately 9 p.m., Sherwood Police officers were called to a disturbance involving two vehicles with possible shots fired. Officers arrived at the Sherwood Sam’s Club parking lot, located at 5600 Landers Road, to find a male victim with a gunshot wound on the left side of his waist. The shooting incident occurred outside of the Corner Mart gas station located at 2429 Wildwood Ave. The suspect, Robert Colvert, 72, of North Little Rock, was arrested at the scene on a charge of Battery — 1st Degree and Terroristic Act. The survivor was treated and released from the hospital. The incident appeared to be a road rage incident that began on Arkansas Highway 67/167 southbound.
