19 Arrests Made, 10 Stolen Cars Recovered

September 10th, 2024 1:55 pm

Another successful multi-agency DOVE detail (Drivers of Violence Enforcement) was held on a recent evening. By the end of the night, 19 arrests were made and 10 stolen vehicles were recovered. In addition, three DWI arrests also were made.

Officers from the WCPD along with 150 additional law enforcement officers from over 20 different departments engaged in a stolen vehicle detail, which was coordinated by the NYPD. Stolen cars are often used in the commission of crimes, so identifying those vehicles and apprehending the persons in them is a critical way to prevent crime. It is also rewarding to be able to return the vehicles to the rightful owners who were victimized when the thefts occurred.

Throughout the course of the evening, officers saturated various areas throughout the County and along the NYC border in an effort to prevent crimes from occurring.

Agencies involved included: WCPD, NYPD, NYSP, FBI Safe Streets, Mount Vernon PD, New Rochelle PD, Village of Mamaroneck PD, Rye PD, White Plains PD, Mount Pleasant PD, Tuckahoe PD, Croton PD, MTA PD, Greenburgh Task Force, Dobbs Ferry PD, Ardsley PD, Tarrytown PD, Sleepy Hollow PD, Pelham Manor PD, Irvington PD.

Great collaboration once again!
