December 6th, 2024 5:44 pm

Congratulations to our six newest officers and the other 43 other members of Basic Recruit Class 158 who graduated today from the Westchester County Police Academy.

Our six graduates are pictured here with Commissioner Raynor. WCPD welcomes Police Officers Shaun Blute. Frank Caparelli, Devin Furphy, Steven Hartog, Autumn Piazza and Robert Tapia. We salute them for their hard work in recent months and the commitment they showed to their training.

County Executive Latimer, Commissioner Raynor and District Attorney Rocah were among the dignitaries who offered congratulatory remarks at the ceremony, which was held before a packed house at SUNY Purchase. We thank SUNY Purchase for hosting graduation once again in the beautiful Performing Arts Center on campus. Thanks go out as well to the Pipes and Drums of the Police Emerald Society of Westchester for its participation.

The 49 new police officers are headed off to work at seven departments in Westchester. Our best to all for long, safe and successful careers. Congratulations!
