The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists to expect State Route 6/202 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) to close in both directions between State Route 9D and U.S. Route 9 in the Town of Cortlandt, Westchester County, beginning Tuesday, August 30 through Thursday, September 1, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The closure is necessary to facilitate maintenance activities, weather permitting. 

Motorists should expect delays and follow a posted detour utilizing U.S. Route 9, State Route 403 and State Route 9D.
