Marine Unit officers and other first responders will be participating in a training exercise this morning on the Hudson River off Ossining. Recreational boaters and others may observe multiple police boats operating alongside a New York Waterways ferry.

There is no emergency. It is only an exercise. Boaters are requested to stay clear of the exercise area.

Along with the WCPD Marine, Aviation and Emergency Service Units, participants today include the Yonkers PD, Ossining PD, Westchester County Office of Emergency Management, Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Rockland County Sheriff’s Department, New Rochelle PD, Rye PD, Launch 5, and the New York Naval Militia.
