A WCPD Cadet Graduation Ceremony was held at the Westchester County Center’s Little Theater on Sunday for 73 Cadets who completed the program this school year. About 200 proud parents and family members were in attendance.

Keynote remarks were provided by Commissioner Terrance Raynor and County Executive Ken Jenkins. 

The ceremony included an Espirit De Corps award named in honor and memory of Michael Raimondi, a WCPD Cadet who tragically lost his life in 2024. We were privileged to be joined by his family last night.

MICHAEL RAIMONDI ‘ESPRIT DE CORPS’ AWARD

Michael was a 15 year old Somers High School student, and one of our Cadets. He was killed in a violent domestic violence incident while protecting his mother and younger brother Matthew, who was also a Cadet, on October 28, 2024.

Assisting in the presentation of this heartfelt award was Cadet RJ Traina, a Somers HS Student and Michael’s best friend.  Members of the Raimondi family were called to the stage to assist in presenting this award to CADET BRUNO FLORES.
