WCPD is investigating a pedestrian fatality that occurred at 1:05 a.m. on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon. The woman was hit by a car in the S/B lanes near E. Lincoln Ave. The driver remained at the scene. It remains unclear why the woman was walking in the roadway. A New York City resident, her identity is being withheld pending notification to her family.
