Westchester County Police are investigating a two-car collision involving a wrong-way driver that occurred about 12:10 a.m. on the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway in Rye Brook.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to Westchester Medical Center.  Five occupants of the other vehicle were also taken to WMC with non-life-threating injuries.

The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of travel near Lincoln Avenue. The northbound Hutch remains closed in that area and traffic is being diverted off the parkway on to Lincoln Avenue.

The full circumstances of the incident are under investigation by the WCPD Accident Investigation Team and detectives from the General Investigations Unit.
