On March 29, 2025, a juvenile victim contacted the Naples Police Department in reference to an adult male subject exposing his sexual organs near the River Park Playground. The juvenile victim and witnesses reported the adult male pulled down his pants and exposed his penis to the juvenile victim. During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Stephen Noreus, a 67-year-old resident of the City of Naples.

On April 29, 2025, Noreus turned himself into the Naples Police Department where he was placed under arrested for Lewd/Lascivious Exhibition - Offender 18 or Older, Victim Less than 16, a violation of F.S.S. 800.04(7)(b). He was transported to the Collier County Jail without incident.
