JULY 4TH PARADE CANCELLED

July 3rd, 2025 2:59 pm

Out of an abundance of caution for our community, parade participants, and staff, the City of Naples has made the difficult decision to cancel the 4th of July Parade originally scheduled for 9:00 AM on Friday, July 4, 2025.

Weather forecasts indicate a high probability of thunderstorms during the morning hours, and the safety of everyone involved remains the City’s top priority.

“While we are disappointed to cancel an event that brings our community together to celebrate our nation’s independence, the safety of our residents, visitors, and staff must come first,” said City Manager Gary Young. “We thank everyone who planned to participate and support the parade, and we look forward to future opportunities to celebrate together.”

The parade will not be rescheduled.

At this time, the fireworks display scheduled for 9:00 PM over the Gulf will still proceed as planned.

However, if lightning is in the immediate vicinity, the show will be temporarily delayed until conditions improve. This would be a short-term delay on the same evening, not a postponement to another day. We encourage everyone planning to watch the fireworks to use discretion if inclement weather or lightning approaches, seek shelter, and prioritize safety.
