MAINTENANCE WORKER ARRESTED FOR JEWELRY THEFT

On April 9, 2025, the Naples Police Department received a report regarding the theft of jewelry from a condominium within the City of Naples. The victim reported that three pieces of jewelry, valued at approximately $6,200, were missing after a maintenance worker had recently accessed the residence.

During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 21-year-old Charles Edward Shookman. Shookman, who describes himself as a social media influencer known for showcasing jewelry in his videos, was found to have pawned one of the stolen items at a pawnshop located in unincorporated Collier County.

On May 22, 2025, Shookman was taken into custody by the Naples Police Department and charged with grand theft. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office also charged him with dealing in stolen property in connection with the pawned jewelry.

Chief Ciro Dominguez commended the strong partnership between the Naples Police Department and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, highlighting the importance of interagency cooperation in successfully apprehending suspects and bringing them to justice.
