On November 18, 2025, Naples Police officers responded to an aggravated battery complaint at 7th Avenue South and 9th Street South. The victim, a vehicle transport driver, reported that he was delivering a vehicle to 37-year-old Jared Sterling Bowers, who was upset about delivery delays and still owed $1,600. During the delivery, Bowers pulled the victim from the driver’s seat of the vehicle, attempted to punch him, then reversed the vehicle and struck the victim’s left arm before fleeing.

Following the investigation, officers determined that Bowers intentionally struck the victim with the vehicle. On November 19, 2025, officers located Bowers, a resident of unincorporated Collier County, and placed him under arrest for Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. He was transported to the Collier County Jail without incident.
