On October 15, 2024, at approximately 5:00 pm, officers from the Naples Police Department were dispatched to a robbery that had just occurred in the parking lot of 4255 9th Street North, Park Shore Plaza.

The victim stated that her boyfriend, later identified as Gage Braatz, 24, of Lee County, had battered her, physically restrained her, and stole her prescription medication.

When the victim was able to escape Braatz’ vehicle, Braatz attempted to strike her with the vehicle, and then fled the area. With the assistance of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Braatz was apprehended while hiding inside his residence located in the 1300 block of Jeronimo Drive.

Braatz was transported to the Naples Jail Center and charged with Strong Arm Robbery, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Battery.

The Naples Police Department is thankful for the steadfast relationship shared with our partners of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. Their continued support ensures Naples and Collier County remain safe.
